Podcasts that inspire!

Many of us are looking for new entertainment methods, anything that will satisfy the dull moments in lockdown. The launch of the new app Clubhouse was just perfect timing. Clubhouse is an application that connects people via audio. Once you get an invitation, you are free to open new rooms for discussions and listen to others' conversations.

After spending almost one entire evening listening to experts and inspiring people talking about entrepreneurship, politics, and society, I can say so far it has done its job. First of all, I believe that building online communities right now has great potential. However, one has to keep in mind that the calls are during the day, and after the flexibility of the home office is over, this might become difficult. As for any new application, they are still missing a few features, and people are talking about their concerns about the privacy policy.

What has been great, though, was the ease of listening to people and the possibility to get in touch with them. You can click on people's bio and follow or contact them via their Email or LinkedIn. So far, the transparency has been quite fun, as you can see who of your friends are listening to what. Next to using Clubhouse to entertain me, I also found the joy of listening to podcasts again. I quite enjoy the ones that help me escape reality. Although I find myself feeling stuck and unsatisfied, I love to listen to people who feel the same way and maybe even have some tips on better managing those situations.

As mentioned before, The Yang Club aims to connect people and find ways to help. We have met quite astonishing people on our journey so far, ranging from professors to art therapists or students that created their coping mechanisms. Last week we recorded our first podcast to share those inspiring moments with you and minimize the time when you might feel lonely and unsatisfied.

Please go and listen to our first podcast episode in which we are introducing our lovely host Romy and our special guest Leonie. They talk about the emotional challenges that have accompanied them throughout 2020 and how they have managed to make the best out of them!

We would also love to know what you think about the new platform Clubhouse and if you would like us to create a room so we can all speak and get in touch?

As we have only shared our first episode of The Yang Talk, we have listed a few other podcasts that can pull you out of the dull moments in lockdown.
