Mental health conditions are more and more discussed in today's society. However, issues such as emotional distress or anxiety have existed since the origin of mankind. It's time to start seeing mental health as a vital part of our lives and not just a trend.

 

You may think now, well, mental health issues are now more present because people talk about it more. No, people just start accepting the fact that for leading a better life, being physically fit or building relationships, we must improve our mental health and talk about emotions. It's okay to feel down, sad or also just overwhelmed. Emotions are what makes us human.

 

We shouldn't forget that the most important relationship we'll ever have is the one with ourselves.

 

So let's start working on it.

According to the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses, taking time for ourselves helps us understand the value of living life.

 

You start enjoying the sunlight coming through your window or the coffee in the morning in a more conscious way. Enjoy the little things in life and make yourself aware of the people who care about you.

 

You are not alone in this. Take some time for yourself. Ask yourself what inspires you the most, what motivates you the most or what makes you smile like a cheshire cat.
